<title><![CDATA[Almost there!]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[Hi,<br /><br />Let me start by saying, if you haven't checked out the game for a few months, you probably should.  So much has changed since the earlier days, i'll outline all the major changes below with a few screenshots.<br /><br />Thanks to everyone who has helped with the alpha testing, it's been a great help, we hope to be at beta within a couple of weeks at the most after we implement the last few major features and reset the characters.  I'll be sending out a mailshot fairly soon to let everyone know the 2nd phase of testing is about to start.<br /><br />OK, on with the important stuff... what's happened with the game?<br /><br /><b>1) Dungeon Crawling</b> - We have implemented several locations which have crawlable locations.  Once in the location there are monsters located around to battle, once the area is clear, the 'boss' shows himself, providing you with a tougher battle (but yielding greater loot)<br /><br /><a href="/Images/ScreenShots/forest.jpg"><img src="/Images/ScreenShots/forest_thumb.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="/Images/ScreenShots/city.jpg"><img src="/Images/ScreenShots/city_thumb.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="/Images/ScreenShots/wilderness.jpg"><img border="0" src="/Images/ScreenShots/wilderness_thumb.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><b>2) Familiars</b> - You can now buy a creature to train and fight by your side.  Creatures will give you a slight stat bonus in battle.  For a fee you can pay a Familiar Whisperer to train your beast while you are away from the computer (up to 8 hours of training)<br /><br /><a href="/Images/ScreenShots/familiar.jpg"><img src="/Images/ScreenShots/familiar_thumb.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><b>3) Trading Posts</b>- Prices or market items fluctuate daily and vary from city to city.  Buy items in one city for a low price, travel to a nearby city and sell for a profit (and it's safer than crawling dungeons!)<br /> <br /><a href="/Images/ScreenShots/trading.jpg"><img src="/Images/ScreenShots/trading_thumb.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><b>4) Jobs and Reputation</b> - You now have a choice on what kind of adventurer you want to be, and the jobs you pick will affect your characters reputation and alignment.  Doing too many "questionable" tasks will eventually earn you an evil reputation, but with this comes some benefits, certain weapons and equipment are only available to evil (and good) characters and the more you sway in one direction, the greater rewards for questing become unlocked<br /><br /><a href="/Images/ScreenShots/package.jpg"><img src="/Images/ScreenShots/package_thumb.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="/Images/ScreenShots/assassinate.jpg"><img src="/Images/ScreenShots/assassinate_thumb.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="/Images/ScreenShots/helpus.jpg"><img src="/Images/ScreenShots/helpus_thumb.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Summary of other features we have implemented:<br />- Character Profiles updates<br />- User avatars now available to upload<br />- Enhanced evil scavenge 'Steal' which yields higher returns but runs the risk of being sent to Rotten Bay prison island for 15 minutes - other prisoners are free to attack though!<br />- Player-vs-Player battles<br />- Hospitals, heal up without having to manage potions, available in most major cities (and where you will wake up if you die)<br />- Weapon store improvements and item filters<br />- Some ranged weapons have been implemented (and more to come soon)<br />- Battles no longer load a full new screen, no refresh required.  The battle stats now appear in the dashboard as they happen (see below)<br /><br />Still to come (within the next week or two):<br />- Skill/Spell Tree (partially complete)<br />- Vehicles/Caravans to increase Trade capacity<br />- Gamblers Den to make a return<br />- Probably a few things I can't think of (but I'll edit this as I do)<br /><br />Anyway, one last screenshot eh? <title><![CDATA[Some Big Changes and some updates]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[Main thing is... the map:<br /><br /><a href="/Images/ScreenShots/map.jpg"><img border="0" src="/Images/ScreenShots/map_thumb.jpg" /></a><br /><br />There are still many features to come but traveling the map currently allows your character to:<br /><br />Be attacked by random monsters<br />Take on missions to hunt down a specific creature<br />Travel from location to location, each location having different resources (market, bank, catacombs etc.)<br />View which other characters are in the same location (ability to directly attack coming soon)<br />===<br /><br />Leveling up now fills up your stats to max<br />Regen bonuses now in place and working<br /><br />Other than that we have been bug fixing and trying to balance the game.<br /><br />In the coming weeks we will be bug-testing and adding new features relating to the map.  The store needs attention (it seems to keep getting bumped to the bottom of the list) so we should be picking that up this week.]]></description>

<title><![CDATA[Testing is going well]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[Players who have came to join the alpha testing have been a great help, the forums have been overflowing with great suggestions and bug-spots and all in all the first 36 hours of testing has gone great. <br /><br />One added bonus is that it's much busier than we imagined, and with this kind of constant activity we will have this alpha ironed out in no time.<br /><br />I'll start posting all our major updates and fixes in this blog for those of you waiting for Beta (or full release) just so you can track our progress.  Feel free to join in if your curiosity gets the better of you :P<br /><br />And for those who are taking part in the testing, keep the ideas coming and thanks for taking part :)]]></description>
